Awakening Volunteers
Jan. 24th, 2015 08:25 pmIt starts with a rumor overheard in a coffee shop near the city center: awakening volunteers get special consideration. What's the consideration? The stories vary - more perks, faster restoration of powers, access to better homes and jobs - but all of the stories hold one unifying thread: the government looks favorably on people who do their civic duty by volunteering at the re-education center.
What does this mean OOCly? Players can offer their characters in this post for what used to be re-education purposes. Now, as a sandbox, we are using the technique of Awakening a character outside of the previous re-education pipeline. It is meant to be a disjointed process due to the government not operating currently; characters show up in random locations and could even be physically injured if they choose to be. Players will need to seek someone out to Awaken with in order to apply for a new character after the initial Thousand Year Sleep event in September 2016. Players must also use Awakening to come back to Active status following a Hiatus or Drop to Read-Only Status.
This is only a plot device and will not affect Status AC. Completed Awakening posts can be used for Status AC.
